The Shared Information Framework

The Solution Accelerator has two parts:

• Structured Dialogues

In Syria, we implemented three rounds of the Shared Information Framework over 18 months. This web portal is a place where organizations involved or interested in the state of Syria can learn more about the country those organizations—local, national, regional, international—who are in influential in the life of the country (“prime actors”).

The Shared Information Framework is created out of information provided by prime actors in the Syrian situation. Rounds of interviews in which prime actors provide, review and respond to the information on this web portal helps to build common understanding among the prime actors. It contains basic information all prime actors should know before and during negotiations and the implementation of agreements. This was the state of the framework after three rounds of interviews over 18 months conducted in 2016 (two rounds) and 2017 (one round).
